6. The Military Authorities will decide the strength
of guards to be carried in various ships on various
runs. The daily cost of the guard will also depend on the
seniority and aitution of the individuals composing it.
This is the reason for the nɛximum and minimum estimated
oburges given in paragraph 7.
7. The guards in sripe operating between HCN04030
and 31:04.Oks will normally consist of one officer and 13 other
ranta. stimated daily coat when on board will be maximum
28.11.^., minimum 44. .10. Shipping operating betwee:
HOBURONG and SilLLOHA will normally carry a guard of one
k.v.. and 7 to 9 other ranks. The estimated dail, cost
when on board will be, maximum 14.15.3, minimum 41.16.8.
These estimates are based on the continuation of the present
ay stem, under which the Company feed the Cards when on
board ship. an additional felly obarge, equivalent to
ation allowance at 1/66. perhead per diem, will be borne by
the Companies during the period a guard is on shore amiting
return to its home port.
8. In the event or a guard proceeding from the port of one Company and returning from the port of disembarkation in the service o.
